Learn how to use technology to globalize your classroom through applications such as Mystery Skype, Padlet, audioBoom, Animoto, Kidblog, & QR codes. See actual examples & student work as Shawn Churchill shows how her Spanish classes communicated with schools in New Jersey, California, and Mexico. Teachers will leave the session knowing how to intertwine these tools into their units while teaching their students 21st century skills.

Shawn Churchill

Spanish Teacher, Yorktown High School
Shawn Churchill has been teaching Spanish for the past ten years in Delaware County. She graduated from Ball State University with bachelor and master degrees in Education. Churchill has experience teaching all levels of Spanish from preschool to college-age students. She enjoys incorporating technology and authentic resources into the curriculum as it helps her students use Spanish outside of the classroom, an important 21st century skill.
