This curriculum was developed as part of a grant from the Camile and Henry Dreyfus Foundation in conjunction with the the Indiana University Center for P-16 Research. Elementary school is an ideal time to introduce the foundational concepts of the chemical sciences. Students are naturally curious, open to exploration and investigation. With the appropriate scaffolding and contextualization, elementary school students are able to understand microscopic and macroscopic concepts when presented within an engaging context. The curriculum developed will be presented.
