Kevin M. Cline has been teaching for 13 years, and is currently the Department Chair for Social Studies at Frankton High School. He teaches classes in American Government and US History. He is a past recipient of the American Civic Education Teaching Award, and in 2016 was named the National History Teacher of the Year. He has also worked, in conjunction with the Center for Representative Government at Indiana University, to create classroom apps titled "Freedom Summer," which highlights pivotal moments in the Civil Rights era, and "Engaging Congress", which highlights several issues pertaining to the work of Congress. Mr. Cline is a strong advocate for what he calls "relevant learning," which seeks to connect classroom content to an individual student, and sees technology as a primary avenue for achieving this mission.
